Manmeet Thind is the founder and principal at Thind Law. She practices civil litigation with a focus on construction law, estates related matters, bankruptcy law and real estate disputes. Her primary objective in her civil litigation practice is to develop a legal strategy that ensures her clients receive the best results in the most efficient way possible.
Manmeet’s practice also includes residential and commercial real estate and related matters. She has represented individuals, developers, condominium boards, lenders and landlords on a broad range of transactions.
Prior to founding Thind Law, Manmeet worked at a long-standing boutique civil litigation and real estate law firm in downtown Toronto where she gained experience under the mentorship of seasoned litigation counsel. Manmeet regularly appears before administrative tribunals, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. She has conducted trials, applications, complex motions and mediations. Manmeet works with her clients to decide whether zealous advocacy or a more collaborative approach shall result in the best outcomes for her clients.
Manmeet attended law school at the University of Western Ontario. At Western Law, Manmeet honed her advocacy skills through participating in extracurricular mooting competitions and placed as a finalist in both the Torys LLP Negotiation Competition and the Cherniak Cup Trial Advocacy Competition. Prior to law school Manmeet attended York University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Political Science graduating as a member of the Dean’s Honour Roll.
Manmeet is an active volunteer and has served as a Trustee on the Brampton Public Library Board and as a Director on the Brampton East Liberal Riding Association. She has consulted on and led a number of political campaigns at all levels of government. Manmeet also brings a wealth of knowledge of the real estate industry through her past work experience at a Toronto area real estate brokerage.
Manmeet is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, mentoring youth in her community and cooking.
